How do I get my Philips CCR600 out of SAFE mode?

How do I get my Philips CCR600 out of safe mode, I have all the codes and could activate the security if I could get it out of SAFE mode, it is in a Vauxhall Vectra CDX

With the ignition on (but engine not started), turn off radio, and then while keeping AS button held, turn on radio. The set will then beep at which point AS button can be released. Then enter the code by repeatedly pressing the numeric preset button for each digit until the correct sequence appears. Once entered, press and hold AS button for code to be accepted.
