how do i put an electric fan in my rover metro?

how do i know if the electric fan is causing my car to overheat?

As the engine temperature rises, the electric fan should come on automatically to cool things down - normally they start at around 90deg C. Lift the bonnet and you'll see and hear the thing running if its working ok, and the engine is hot enough.
