I HAVE A 04 VIVARO 1.9CDTI. STARTS OK AND IDLES FINE NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED.BUT IF YOU USE THE PRIME PUMP A FEW TIMES THE ENGINE NOTE CHANGES AND ACCELERATOR WORKS. DRIVES OK BUT FEELS DOWN ON POWER. WHEN ENGINE IS TURNED OF IT IS BACK TO SQUARE ONE. ALSO GLOW PLUG/FILTER LIGHT STAYS ON, FILTER HAS BEEN CHANGED. NO FAULT CODES RECORDED. ANY IDEAS THANKS.
Possible fault with high preasure fuel pump, if you take out t30 torqx screws on back of pump and carefully remove rear pump case you may find drive on back of pump is breaking if you dont feel happy doing this a good mechanic sould be able to check this out in about an hour
