Mend Ariston AL1046T Open Door Cycle

How can I open the jam door of Ariston AL1046T?

My washing machine Ariston Al1046T's door is jam after finishing the washing cycle. I can not open the door, and this has been the problem for some time now. It stuck and open on its own, but this time I can not just open the door. Please help!!

Ariston Ariston AL1046T Household Appliances, Washing Machines Open Door Cycle

The Ariston AL1046TUK (CC12589) has a door release button that you press in order to release the door. This is quite an old machine and the chances are the push button assembly has worn. There is a link from the push button to the door interlock. This could have broken or the door interlock itself could have a fault. I cant offer a quick fix as this is a safety issue which should be tackled by someone who is qualified.
