My wife owns a 05 KA 1.3 with the Duratec engine.
Second prob, don't worry about exposed metal under accelerator peddle. Carpet has worn away to expose subframe of car. No worries about that, just unsightly.
First prob, may be with trying to locate leak, prob easy, but worth a trusted mechanic/garage to have a look for you. I have to top her's up every week, no water inside car though.
