where do i find the ECU for 05 Vectra 2.2?

Hi Paul, it is more likely to be a failed sensor,valve or other component rather than the ECU, the only way to find out is to go to an independant garage or a tyre & exhaust place to get it connected to a diagnostic code reader £20~30 main dealers charge £120+++ If it is the ECU have a look at www.autotekelectronics.com enter your number plate and it will show the correct spares and a hell of a lot cheaper than the dealer, the ECU should be on the engine bulkhead UK passenger side.

The ECU is normally located underneath the grille for the windscreen wipers, open up the bonnet and trace back the wires that go back into the car towards the windscreen area, (normally a little boxy thingie with cable connection points on it) hope this helps
