I HAVE PROBLEM WITH FORD 2.4 DURATOURQ ENGINE ON STARTING?

ON STARTING ENGINE ,IT RUNS AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT STARTS TO STALL AND MAKING KNOCKING SOUND ...I DONT WANT TO RUN FOR A LONG TIME INCASE IT DAMAGES THE ENGINE..ANY HELP PLEASE...

probably dual mass flywheel is at fault-there is a kit available to change to a solid flywheel
