explanation on car diesel engine under water?

we are doing a school project on diesel engine running under water. After a few research we found out that the only areas that needs changes are the intake and exhaust manifold. Are there any other components that need consideration ?

i would say thats about it they need snorkle pipes on , but the exhaust would have the metal so it wouldn,t melt! , maybe put grease on the wires to the starter motor and any others wires to waterproof them
