Mend Sony Problem Years Minutes

sony laptop problem?

My Sony laptop which is a couple of years old keeps on cutting off after about 5 or 6 minutes the power pack has been renewed . What else could be the problem and is it worth fixing, could it be the fan or the motherboard . If it is the motherboard can you get another at a cheap price and is it easy to install? Happy to here any thoughts on the matter. Cheers

Could be the battery. Try removing it and running the box without it.
