Mend Diplomat Select 600 Working Oven

Grill element changed but still not working?

I have a Diplomat Select 600 oven with grill. The grill was not working,so I replaced the element (from whitegoods) ,but it still doesnt work. I have checked the connections to the control unit and the element. Any ideas ?
