Mend HP Photosmart 8450 Printer Error Connection

My Hp Photosmart 8450 wont print??

My Hp Photosmart 8450 wont print, I have the correct one installed and registered as the printer I want to use, and it is all connected fine. However it says error when I send it and a little envolope appears on the printer screen with a red cross on it??
I really need my printer help!!
