Indesit KD 3c1(w)/G not working?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
I have an Indeset electric cooker, when I turn any of the dials on ( hob, grill or oven ) the light on the cooker switch goes out but doesn't trip out in the consumer unit. The cooker is only just over 2 years old.
