Such clever dicks aren't they? - at least we have our answer! I suppose it would have been too helpful to advise on the precise batteries needed. This could have been answered like this - 'It is most likely that you require new batteries for the inside box and outside as the life for these batteries is suggested at 5 years and 10 years respectively. The batteries needed are------. I strongly recommend however that you obtain a professional security alarm installer to do the work. Here's where you may find a selection of installers to choose from. Hope this helps

Fair enough advice from acorn but your attitude stinks (gotta love the general public, eh). Bear in mind these are probably the people who keep you in your job (no doubt when you eventually turn up), you might want to be a bit more helpful.

Well done Acorn, this is so typical of customers. Umm never been a problem before, or isnt it supposed to be a rechargeable battery. I disconnected a battery this week that was so badly coroded, the battery terminals had welded themselves to the battery terminals.
The general public, dont you just love them.

They are supposed to be changed at or before 5yrs!!!!

There is no question, you NEED a new one & don't forget the one in your outside sounder, that is a different type and should be replaced at or before 10yrs, here it's easier to replace the entire box.
