Mend Creda 79163 Storage Heater

How to use my Creda Storage Heater?

Hi, I have economy seven in my flat and a Creda 79163 storage heater in my front room.
I have receieved a whopping electricity bill as it turns out i have been using day units all the time.
All i have been doing is turning all the switches on including the red light switch when i come in, i havent been paying any attention to the dials.

How do i get it so it heats up in the night and heats my flat during the day?

Thanks

Same here....its all down to trial and error on the top dials...dont switch the front fan on unless its freezing. Like all storage heaters they charge at night, as long as they are on economy & that is. Turn the input up to 6, and the output to say 4, then the trick is to turn the input dial down until it clicks when you go to bed if the unit is still hot, the next day the same until you reach a cool time at the same time each night. This will then trigger the amount stored during the night to be right so that it delivers heat all day until bed time.

If of course you want it warmer or cooler change the output up or down and again adjust the input either up or down so that you regulate the input charge overnight. Trial and error.....and expensive....!!! If you get it right the bill will reduce, trust me!

Also a hint keep the doors closed in all rooms so that the heat doesnt escape into a cooler area. Hope you havnt got 10' ceilings as the heat rises, as in my appartment and even with a huge bill the rooms are never toasty.

The other option is to upgrade them, that son my list so that the rating takes into account the cubic are not just square floor area, with added programming of the release of heat when I am in.

Hope this helps, there are manuals available on line, but I cant remember where I have seen them.
