i have an astra 1.6 51 reg comfort model it needs an ecu, if i get a second hand one will that work? if so, what exactly do i need to get? the ecu, chip out the key is there anything else? thanks
How do you know it's the ECU? Have you had codes read?

you will need the ecu /the correct transponder chip out of the key /and the transponder unit from around the ignition lock which reads the transponder chip.

Talk to the people @ www.autotekelectronics.com they sell service exchange ECU's at less than the dealership and they will be able to advise as to the "key/immobilizer" options
