vauxhall astra 1.6 sxi ecu problem?

hi there my astra sxi engine eml is on and it only flashes when i speed up i have changed the coil pack and plugs its still the same but if i take the battery leeds off for 20 mins its ok for 2 days then back on i ve been told it could be the cat

You will have to get your ecu matched to the transponder! ie re prog'd

Gram. This sounds vey much like a coding issue. Technically. you've done everything correctly, so it should have started. Very important. Note the number of the original ECU does it correspond exactly with the number on the new ECU? The fact it might be from the same modal and age of car is irrelevent. They must have the same number. If it does, check all wiring again. If you get nowhere with that, the ECU can be decoded from around £75 - £125
