Mend Vauxhall Astra 1.7 DTI Fire Fuel

how can i fix a starting problem?

i have a astra 1.7 dti estate but cant fire it up but it will turn over, ive been told it could be either the fuel ecu or diesel pump but this doesnt seem to be the problem
