How can i fix a fault in my printer?

My HP deskjet 3500 printer was printing out a coloured page after it was scanned...BUT the colour that came out was a pale green. Now after unistalling the printer it wont install and a fault sign appears.Pleaswe reply to rodbenenterprises@yahoo.co.uk
