Mend Nissan X-Trail Latch Shut Open

How can i fix my nissan x-trail boot latch?

I have a 2004 53 nissan xtrail, the boot will not stay shut it just bounces open, the lock sounds like it is still working but seems to be a problem with the handle? any body know of any common problems?
