Mend Eureka Stopped Working Levels

My Eureka boss carpet level button (most suction) stopped working?

I have a Eureka "the boss" vacuum. It has two levels bare floor and carpet, when you put it on carpet (has a higher suction) it stopped working, but the hose and barefloor level work. Can it be fixed??
