Which bit is the filter you clean?

Bosch Classixx 1400. Pleae can you tell me which is the actual bit you can clean. I have opened the front little panel and unscrewed the bit which has the rubber seal round it. Expected to find dog hair mud bits of plaster etc but clear. Is there anything else needs doing. Machine in full working order just my Mum keeps telling me it should be cleaned!!!!!
