Mend GE GSS201EMB Refrigerator Freezer Repair

motor keeps freezing up in freezer model gss201emb?

The motor that provides power to the spindle that moves the ice to the dispenser is constantly freezing up. After defrosting for half an hour it is fine for a while but then freezes up again. I do not want to replace this part and have the cause be something different. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
