what does the orange light which a picture of an engine mean on my car?

the light comes on now and then for about 3-4 mintues then goes again i have a peugeot 106 mardi gras 1995

This light is the 'Engine management light' this indicates there may be a fault (possibly with one of the engine's sensors), visit a local garage and query them about it.
they have a Diagnostics machine (this will tel the mechaninc what he/she will need to nkow and cn tell you what the problem is, maybe even quote you on a price for suggested repair.

Computer has seen a problem in system and needs to be diagnosed .....try disconnecting neg battery cable for about 30 seconds and see if light comes back on after you drive it awhile ....if it does there is a problem ....
