Mend Russell Hobbs 2400 Steam Iron Generator

russell hobbs steamglide 2400 iron?

I have a steam generator iron as described above. The base water tank "bit" appears to be working as the lights for the power and steam are on, howver the actual iron part appears to be "dead". The power indicator is not on and there is no steam?
