Mend Paragon Plus Alarm Started Changed

My paragon plus alarm keeps going off, how can I remedy this?

My paragon plus alarm has started to activate itself. I have changed the batteries in both boxes but it still keeps activating (usually several hours after it is armed). This has only started happening in the last 4 weeks. The system was fitted in 1995, would the age of the system have anything to do with it?
