Mend Indesit Electric Turned Working

How can I fix my electric hob?

4 ring electric hob, Indesit I think! Turned on one ring, heard a crackling noise and now no rings working. When you turn knob to put one on the light flicks very briefly but then goes off. So it seems to be getting power but not staying on or heating. What can I check
