washing machine.knocks about when spins?

If the bearings are gone you will hear a growling noise during all phases of the wash. Possible the spider arms, out of sight at rear of drum, are fractured. This leads to heavy banging noise during spin. To check plug out machine for safety. Open door and rock drum up and down. turn 1/4 of turn and rock again until full turn is complete. If there is a movement say 1/4 inch or more then one or more of the arms are fractured.

This is major fault and may require replacement of the complete drum assembly if the drum casing is all welded plastic type. May make more sense to buy a new machine. Bad design on Indesit's part in my opinion.

if the drum has movement when you push the inner drum upwards bearing have FAILED this is a major repair, due to parted needed inner and outer bearing possible spider assembly and LABOUR charges cut your losses and get another machine
