if you open the bonet on ford festar you will find a resistor mecanisum with two pipes goin in amd two pipes coming out the two pipes which come out go to heaters in car if you change this mecanisum it is the same on ford K.A and feasta this will cure your problem the part from fords is around £50 on ebay the same part is around £30 thanks Laney .

look under the bonnet in the middle of the car you will find the heater control valve this is electrically switched and they regularily fail there are 2 x heater hoses going to it and it is located just behind the plastic panel that separates the engine compartment from the bulkhead disconnect the wires and plug in a test meter or test lamp to the wires in the elactrical plug get an assistant to turn on the ignition and then operate the temp switch on your heater control (the heater control is earth swiched and you should see the test lamp get brighter or go out dependant on which way you turn the switch in the car) if that all checks out change the heater control valve
