boiler keeps shutting down?

the boiler keeps shutting down. the number 60 flashes. sometimes it will go for days without breaking down, other times its every couple of minutes. Please can you advise as to what the problem is.

Fault code 60 ( as long as that is the only led that is flashing ) is an ionisation pcb fault. PCB's are available from several sources - internet or local heating engineers... but it might be worth checking the ionisation electrode ( flame detector ) first. This is in the bottom left-hand side of the burner compartment, just above the burners... if it is damaged it can create strange symptoms.
