hotpoint wma32 fault finding?

I have WMA32 model w/machine started and stuck at the start button for 0ne hour does not move

I assume it turns during a wash cycle and the water is being drained by the water pump (pump alright and no blockages). If so you could try blowing in the tube (or using a foot pump) from the pressure switch as sometimes soap powder blocks the inlet to this.
All that would be left would be the timer or motor controller but if it washes you would really expect the motor controller to be o.k but not always as I think another part may be switched for spin.
