Mend Zenith Tv Line Screen

std zenith tv shows only one thin horizontal line?

my 1994 (Year) zenith tv once turned on---only shows one thin bright horizontal line across the middle of the screen. Can I or a professional fix this? What would be cost for me? for a professional? thx

You have no vertical deflection. You might want to take the back off and removed board. Inspect the solder especially near the vertical IC. If the solder is OK it might be worth trying to find a replacement for that chip.

I have no idea how much a pro would charge. Probably better off buying a new TV before paying someone to fix a 15 year old display.
