Mend Mercedes-Benz 313CDI Mercedes Sprinter Start Error

START ERROR ON DASH DISPLAY?

I HAVE A MERCEDES SPRINTER 313CDI, 04 MODEL. ON THE DASH DISPLAY IT SAYS START ERROR. I TOOK OUT THE BATTERY AND CHARGED IT, PUT IT BACK IN AND STILL THERE IS NO IGNITION. ALL THE LIGHTS WORK BUT IT DOES NOT EVEN TURN OVER WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED.

At williamsdiesels.com we can now offer you a repair to the wsp, simply remove the wsp and ecu and send them both where we shall attempt to rewrite the wsp. Please call to arrange carriage. Our costs for this service if successful shall be £175. Also we will offer a postage only fee if unsucsessful. Our mobile service is also available to replace the wsp, if needed, £275 UK wide.

Sounds like a wsp unit, i specialise in reprograming wsp units to the cdi, i travel all over the uk and have the Mercedes Star to offer key coding on site aswel. Either way, a quick test on the Star will tell you what is nescessary to correct the fault, but 95% are wsps.

it is a problem with immobiliser check the chip is still in key failing that you will need star diagnosis to confirm fault common fault is wsp ecu failing can only be bought from dealer and you have to have keys programmed with star machine
