I have a Jones New York wool full length coat with moth holes all over the bottom. If there is a way of mending the holes and keeping the length of the coat, I would prefer that. But, my last resort would be to cut it to a shorter length. Help!!
If they are small holes in a solid color or an abstract print, someone who works with needle felting wool may be able to felt patches that are almost invisible or if the holes are too big they might be able to turn it into a one of a kind artcoat. Or a tailor might be able to attach a contrast border to the bottom and make it look decorative. There are lots of possibilities. Good luck.
