Mend Ford Transit Engine Management Light

WHY IS THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT ON?

HELLO I HAVE A TRANSIT 2002 MINI BUS IT AS THE DUROTOUQE ENGINE IN.THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE I AD IT CHECKED OUT WAS TOLD IT WAS THE MAP SENSOR I CHANGED IT WITH A NEW ONE AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS ANYONE ANY IDEAS THANKS

yes we had an 03 transit minibus with the same problem, as far as i remember we had to change the throttle pedal unfortunately it has to go to dealer to get new one programmed

my work vans done it a few times but has always reset its self , was told wil eventualy have to change the exelarater pedal potentiometer . hope it helps
