Noise on start up (explosive ignition) : early models had a poor set of electrodes fitted, also the burner skins are prone to failing - both known by Potterton, both updated
Noise during operation: Inner door seal (red) are prone to causing problems, fan venturi may have burrs left on from manufacturing, gas valve and small copper pipe (5mm impulse tube) prone to failing,
Whistling noise : usually down to burrs at the top of the combustion chamber around flue housing - will need to be deburred.
