Mend Chainsaw Stay Running

poulan chainsaw won't stay running?

It starts fine, idles, but when given throttle
it stalls.

Mine too. Just suddenly quit so not piston wear etc. Probably not ignition in that it will run on idle.
Had the carb fully to bits and all looks perfect. It looks it may end up in the skip, pity, only 2 years old and little used.

Try turning the mixture screw in or out the one that has (H) by the side, and make sure you have the 0il-petrol mix right.

Chances your saw has lost compression,due to worn piston rings or bad valves, reeds etc. Is chain tension set to specs?
