in my rover 216 cab the batt went dead?

in my rover 216 cab the batt went dead while driving so i changed the batt and the alternator and yet the batt dies still HELP PLEASE

Just bought a rover 216 and when I went to view it sure enough the battery was dead. Its because the immobiliser is heavy on power, might be worth disconnecting it.....
