How do you switch on the auto headlamps on a Peugeot 206?

My bubble was burst in one swipe.
To make it short the stalk on the lights were changed for this function on later models and the stalk was used on earlier models like my Partner combi. Peugeot dealer where I purchased said after a day in service under warranty it was not part of the function on that model. So yours may be the same
