how can i turn it on?

i just bought a samsung s1065 digital camera.i inserted the batteries and turned it on, but it only came up for a few seconds and went off again.i tried turning it on again and thesame thing happened.each time i turned it on, the monitor will come on and off almost immediately but in less than 10 seconds.
now the lens of the camera is out and it does not turn on.
what might be the problem.....

Tiffany is right, try you need Alkaline or better, even then you don't get much life out of them.

Try putting in a different set of batteries. Mine would do that. It'd turn itself off and the lens would still be out but the battery warning light didn't come on.
