Hello - Boiler fires up ok when hot water tap running. But the timer doesnt work any longer. Eg the CH works fine when the boiler is on, but in order to get the boiler on I have to give the clock a sharp tap? Anyone with a familiar problem?. Seems like a loose connection. any ideas appreciated.
This must be the most unreliable boiler ever made. i should know.

I've had the same problem with my Ideal Response 120 for the last 18 months. Been whacking it to get the CH to come on for that long with no side effects. It finally stopped working completely yesterday, no CH or HW. Time to replace it since additionally the expansion vessel is burst and there's a leak in the heating exchanger. :(
