ford explorer key fob programming ?

i've got a 1997 with a single button key fob .Has been in ford dealer but they were unable to programme new fob .So anyone had this same probl;em and solved it withour dealer's help

on 8th turn, leave ignition key in ON POSITION
sorry about that and good luck!

key in ignition
turn on/off 8 times
8th time leave key in verticle position(5 should do it)
doors should lock and then unlock themselves
leave for 5 minutes before activating.
this re-programmes an original fob!
