Hotpoint wd440 washer dryer?

When the machine is on spin I can here what sounds like something caught between the inner and outer drum clanking about, unlike other washing machines there is not a filter at the bottom to catch such things, so this item is caught in limbo crashing about, any ideas how to get it out?
