Hi, ClausMC.

Thanks very much for posting this - I have exactly this problem and can see all 4 of the wires you mention.

When you say you joined the Dark Brown and light Blue wires "at the plug to the PCB", do you mean that you had to actually connect them back onto the PCB itself, or did you just connect the two wires together and leave them loose from the white plug that originally had all 4 wires going into it?

Sorry if I'm missing something here.

Thanks very much for the help.

My Bosch KGV3120GB/01 fridge/frezer "no automatic re-start" problem fixed as follows.
My Bosch KGV3120GB/01 has 4 wires (2 blue, 2 brown) from the PCB plug at the right hand side (closest to the on/off switch) behind the panel in top of the front of the fridge.
I could see that the Dark Brown/Light Blue wires go as one cable into the fridge and that the Light Brown/Dark Blue as another cable.
I cut the Dark Brown with Light Blue and joined them at the plug to the PCB, and left the Light Brown and Dark Blue as they were. That fixed my fridge problem and it is now running fine.
It switch off around 5 degrees and on around 7 degrees with the "1- > 5 adjustment dial" on 1 (the temperature can be adjusted by the "1- > 5 adjustment dial").
This fix indicates that the Light Brown/Dark Blue wires must be the connection to the temperature sensor.

Eureka! After 3 months our KGV 3120 is working again. A very helpful John Street from BSH Home Appliances Ltd
[Grand Union House, Old Wolverton Road

Fax: 08451 272181 www.bsh-group.com] explained how to by-pass the sensor. It is simple - cut 2 wires and solder them together! He's hard to get hold of so I had to persevere.

I don't know the answers but I am in touch with a technician who tells me that the sensor is the cause of my problem - machine works then stops. He promised details of how to by-pass it and assures me that it will work. [The sensor is installed as it is useful in climates other than the UK.] Will follow up if I get the promised info.
