how do I connect my Sylvania SST4192 to a Toshiba DVD player?

I have an SST 4192 that I want to connect to a Toshiba DVD player. The TV has one yellow video port and one white audio port on the front; I've connected yellow-to-yellow for video between the TV and the DVD player, but I'm not clear on what to connect the white audio on the TV to at the DVD end - the DVD player has one red "R", one white "L", and one orange port.

so, first question - where does the white cable connect on the DVD; second question - what channel do I set the TV on?
