Mend Ford MK3 Mondeo Removal

ford mondeo crankshaft mk3?

Hi there I have just started a cylinder head removal on a mk3 1.8 lx mondeo. I have come to a stand still as I can't lock up the crankshaft. I have tried first gear and all other gears including foot brake. You can't lock up fly wheel as the teeth are covered up and you can't angle a screwdriver in to the teeth. What to do??

Hi there is actually a tool to do this job.
If you lay down under the engine then look up to the right you should see a 13mm bolt in the back of the block,once this is removed you can then screw in the timing pin which locks the crank.
