I have the same problem, only my machine is washing but not drying. What I have done is the following; In fact it is easy peasy.
open the top lid, you will se something looking like a turbo coil on the cars, this is housing your heater element!!!
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SWITCHED OFF THE MAINS SUPPLY!!!
STAR keys are required for this next step, you take off all the screws that are holding the lid, and then spaner 19mm will take off two contacts on heater element.
Now, for the fun part of it - if you do not have a tester, the easiest way is to test if the fan is working is holding the lid in the hands and switch the dryer on. Careful with the live wires, best is the isolate them before the test. SO you will most probable see that your fan is working. You have to take off the heater element. You will most probable see that its is phisicaly damaged, ie. the circuit is broken. Obvious that needs replacing. After replacement you reconnect all and job done.
some more fantastic advice I have just put the phone down to the people who are selling parts on ebay. fantasticly fast next day delivery, unfortunately they dont have the stock of this particular one so I might have to wait few days for this element. But only few days ago, (just to mention I am going through very bad period in my life, everything negative that can happen is happening, car broken into, tomtom gone, some glasses in the house broken, cooker heater element) I have ordered the cooker element and it arrived the next day. Now the washing machine dryer heater element!? I hope it cant get worst than that. Everything within one week!
Anyway life goes on. So sort out your machine and let me know how you;ve gone on. Almost forgot check these people, very efficient and cheaper about 50% to normal repairs parts suppliers.
