can this shredder be fixed?

I HAVE THIS SHREDDER I BOUGHT SOME YEARS BACK AND IT QUIT WITHIN TWO MONTHS. MY HUSBAND SAID NOT TO THROW IT OUT. I AM TO THE POINT OF THROWING IT OUT. OTHER THAN THE FACT IT WON'T GO FORWARD IT LOOKS BRAND NEW. IT HAS BEEN IN THE CLOSET ALL THIS TIME. COULD YOU TELL ME WHAT MIGHT BE WRONG OR HOW TO FIX IT AND WHERE TO GET PARTS. OR OR A SERVICE DEALER. SHOULD I GO WITH MY INSTICTS AND THROW IT OUT. IT IS A ORCA 9512X. IT STANDS A LITTLE OVER TWO FEET HIGH AND A FOOT WIDE. YOUR 1-908-429-4357 NUMBER ON THE CARD IS NO GOOD ANY MORE. I AM AWARE IT WAY OUT OF WARRENTY. WILLING TO PAY IF IT IS WORTH FIXING.

I have that shredder too, It's a good shredder.
Mine quit going forward as well. I rewired the switch and it goes forward, but not reverse. Which makes it a saftey issue and I wouldn't recommend you do this, unless you are comfortable playing with the wires.
My thoughts are that it is the switch which needs replacing.
