How do i fix my shredder?

My shredder is jammed with a CD and I can't figure out how to remove the cover?

There is a sensor that has to detect paper going in, nothing (except the lid has to be connected to the bin ofcourse) is required for the reverse operation to work, on mine there is a little tag that the paper moves out the way when paper is fed in. So check that location or it could be the switch that opeates reverse and normal operation.
