Mend Makes Loud Noise

It doesn't read any of my disk's and it makes a really loud noise, why?

When I put a disk in (its not the disk because I just bought a new game and it still doesn't work) it doesn't read the disk and it makes a really loud clogging sound!

What does not read your disks and makes a really loud noise?
XBOX consoles have hard drives that can make loud clicking and clunking sounds when faulty. CD/DVD drives can click or make clunking sounds when faulty.
Please provide more information and someone might be able to answer you.
