Mend Potterton Boiler Thermostat Engineer

Potterton Boiler Thermostat Override?

Ive been advised that the reson my CH pump continues to hum, after turning the temp control down is due to the Stat inside my potterton overridding.

Can anyone advise on how I can fix this, or do i need to call out an engineer?
